Two full days is the sensible minimum — one night in a camp and one sunrise ride — and three days if you also want to see nearby Dades Valley or Todra Gorge. One day is only enough for a long drive past the dunes.

Not really — it is an 8–10 hour drive each way. Merzouga belongs to a two-night minimum itinerary so the dunes and a camp night are not rushed.

It depends on the season. In summer the days are extreme, and we adjust activity to morning and evening. October to April is comfortable, with cool nights that need a warm layer.
