Lush valley one hour from Marrakech — waterfalls and Berber markets.

The Ourika Valley is Marrakech’s closest mountain escape — a green corridor of riverside restaurants, Berber villages and the Setti Fatma waterfalls, under an hour from the city. Day-trippers come for mint tea on a riverside terrace, a guided walk to the falls, and saffron and argan cooperatives. It pairs well with a desert itinerary: mountains in the morning, medina by evening.
