The Draa is Morocco’s longest river and its greatest palm-grove corridor: over 100 km of continuous oasis from Agdz to Zagora, studded with ancient ksour such as Tamnougalt. The N9 road follows the valley floor past kasbah villages, autumn date harvests and weekly souks. It is the scenic backbone of every Zagora itinerary and the quieter alternative to the busier Dades road — best savoured slowly, with a night in a valley kasbah guesthouse.
